It can't have escaped your notice that the Olympic Games start in Bejing next week so I thought we could have our own little competition to tie in with them.
What you have to do is estimate the number of medals that the Great Britain team will win across all of the competitions.
To make it easier (for me mostly, lol) all you need to do is post a number based on the following points system:
Work out (or guess) how many of each medal you think Great Britain will win, calculate the points total and post the number (which should end in 0 or 5).
The Sancturian/s with the number closest to the total will win a small, yet to be decided, prize and total admiration from the other members ... hmm! Okay, maybe just a small prize.
note: team sports, where a group of competitors compete together (eg, a relay race or rowing) will only count as one medal for the purposes of this competition. Worryingly normal, Frighteningly sane and Intriguingly different! |

Well based on the Olympics of 2004 the number would be 330 so I think we are stronger.. ie more money has been invested in sport
